Case Studies Number Seven--apple.com:Architecture

By looking at the site map of apple.com, I can tell there are not many pages in the site and the site does not appear to have a deep architecture. There are approximately nine to ten pages on each sections and it is not a big site for such a big company.

The architecture is not flat since new navigation systems appear when I get further into the site. I don't think additional elements appear is a good thing, but for apple.com, there is an exception. The additional navigation provides users categories of products and other choice of what they can buy. In this way, it makes users easier to find products they would want than browsing around without knowing what the site has.
