There are three colors used on any page: green, red and yellow. It seems that there are no certain rules these colors follow to separate content on the page. I will just write what I observe. Green is used on main body text, links and advertisement background. Red is applied as navigation links and background colors and also main body text. Yellow is used in headlines, advertisement background and main body text.Green and yellow are chosen because they are the two main color derived from Subway's logo. I cannot find a reason why subway.com chooses red since the red they use are not the true red and it is not related to anything on the page. Red seems a random color that designers choose to use in the site.
