There are two navigation systems on the home page and labels in the navigation are categorized clearly. The hierarchy among the navigation systems is not apparent since they are positioned so close to each other and their font size and color are exactly the same.
When I visit further levels of the site, the primary and the secondary navigation systems stay the same. However, there are additional navigation appear on the page. I can tell they are navigation systems because they have list of links that represent sections in the site.
Once I click on a link, the look of it changes and it is highlighted with a colored box. I think the visited links are designed in this way to indicate users which section they are in. I am always know where I am within the architecture of the site by looking at the title of the page. It tells me which section and subsection I am in currently.
I don't think going back to the home page is a problem in adobe.com since I always know how to go back. There is a link right below the secondary navigation system and the logo is also a way to go back to the home page.
