Case Studies Number six--yahoo.com:Architecture

I cannot tell whether the site has a deep architecture since every section has its own site map. From my guess, there are many pages in yahoo.com since each section has a very deep structure.

The architecture is not flat. As I visit further levels in the site, additional navigation systems appear and the primary and secondary navigation on the home page disappear. I think it is a bad thing for sites which have confusing design and layout. For yahoo.com, I think it is a good thing since its design is very easy to understand. Users know where they go with these additional navigation systems.
