Case Studies Number Two--ebay.com::Architecture

It appears that the site (ebay.com) has a lot of pages, but there are not many levels (maximum four levels / depth).

I can definitely visit any page and categories within ebay.com any time by clicking the primary "category" navigation. Furthermore, I can also use the search engine at the very top of the page to find products I am interested in.

I think it is a good thing that additional navigation appear when I visit other level pages on ebay. In this way, new users can easily find products and know where they at, where they will go and so on. It makes life easier for users who are not familiar with the site.
