Since it is an online shop, images are important for the purpose of showing features of products. Newegg.com provides detailed products' pictures, but in a very organized way.
Advertisement can be found on the newegg.com, but neither messy nor inappropriate. It offers customers information about special deals or new products which helps customers to save money but get the most recent technology in their hand. I think the images are just right and newegg.com does not need to add more pictures to create a mess.
There are some icons used in newegg.com, but they are not confusing at all. It takes me one second to get the meaning of these icons. I think these icons not only icons, but also add some other colors to the site (besides the main colors) too.
