Case Studies--Newegg.com::Navigation

Main navigations: There are four levels of navigation used on each of the page:
The top navigation (Primary)
The daily details navigation (Secondary)
The top search navigation (Tertiary)The bottom features navigation (Fourth)
The navigation system is clear and easy for users / buyers (like me) to find items that they are interested in or would like to purchase. I especially like the way different products are organized and listed as categories. It makes life easier for users who are the first time visiting newegg.com.

Menus:The navigation menus stand out, particularly the top one since it uses the bright orange color to emphasize its importance.

Links: At first, I think links (underlined with a gold line when you visit them) on newegg.com are not quite obvious to me. I am having trouble seeing these small gold underline with a white background to tell whether they are links or not. However, the web designers underline (black lines) the links to distinguish them from other texts. That way, I know which ones are links and which are not.

Consistency: As I go visit the second, third and further levels of the website, the top navigation bar never goes away, but the other navigation menus disappear somehow.
The navigation bars change from category style to side bars, but the top navigation does not change on any page which enables me to go back to the home page any time I want (even I am lost some where).

Where I am: I can easily tell where I am on any page of newegg.com by looking at the depth menu bar.
